Glass is a medium which offers many challenges to the artists.

The proposed item is a glass painting, which can be hung in a window, on a wall as a painting or as a decorative item with a light place at the back of the glass.

The piece of glass is carefully selected,then pieces are cut to the required shapes and then individually painted.

when that is done the pieces are dried and then placed on another piece of glass and then fired in a kiln.

The final product ia a pleasing picture with three dimensional effect.

What is happening

WELL 2011 IS GONE; WE HAVE LEARNED FROM THE PAST YEAR,AND WE WILL BE PUTTING TO GOOD USE WHAT WE HAVE LEARNED.

2012 WILL BE A FABULOUS YEAR FOR ALL OF US CRAFTERS.

THE FIRST GOAL FOR THIS YEAR ,IS TO HAVE AN EXPO SALE FOR ALL CRAFTERS IN MAURITIUS,EVERY LAST SATURDAY OF EVERYMONTH. OUR FIRST EXPO/SALE WILL TAKE PLACE AT THE LEMONTREECAFE ON SATURDAY THE 28TH OF JANUARY .WE HAVE FOR THIS SECOND EXPO, TEN ARTISTS/ARTISANS WHO WILL BE SHOWING THEIR LATEST CREATIONS. WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT.

THE NEXT ONE IS SCHEDULE FOR SATURDAY THE 25TH OF FEBUARY.

LAST MONTH WE WROTE:AT MAURITIANART WE HAVE DECIDED TO TAKE THE BULL BY THE HORN AND CLOSE 2011 WITH A BANG AND THEN FOLLOW IT WITH A MARKET FOR CRAFTERS AT THE LEMONTREE CAFE ,FORBACK ,EVERY LAST SATURDAY OF THE MONTH STARTING THE 28TH jANUARY 2012. THE MARKET IS INTENDED TO SHOWCASE MAURITIAN CRAFTS . WE ARE LOOKING FORWARD TO THE CHALLENGE.

WE STUCK TO OUR GUNS:WE WERE GREETED BY MOTHER NATURE WITH TORENTIAL RAINS,THIS DID NOT DETER MANY OF US WHO BRAVED THE ELEMENTS AND WE HAD A GREAT DAY.
